It's the Seattle Supercross from Qwest Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks - Round 15 of the 2011 AMA Supercross Series! Four riders are still in contention for the Supercross championship: Ryan Villopoto, Ryan Dungey, Chad Reed, and James Stewart, now separated by only nine points. 52,683 fans in the 'Emerald City' get to witness the best Supercross season in history.

Earlier this week there was a shakeup in the series as Trey Canard was injured earlier in the week practicing for the outdoors. Trey will miss the remaining rounds of the supercross series. Click here to read the press release from American Honda and to leave Trey a 'Get Well' message.
Holeshot in the six lap qualifier goes to Cole Seely, followed closely by Broc Tickle. Broc passes Seely early on first lap but before Seely passed him back quickly.
Lap two it's Seely, Tickle, Rattray, Morais, Baker, Week, Evans. Cole and Tickle battle neck and neck through laps three and four.

Holeshot in heat 2 goes to Josh Hansen with Martin Davalos right on his tail!
On the second lap, it's Hansen who sheds time and loses the pack. Tomac passes Davolos, with today's top qualifier Kyle Cunningham in 4th. Cunningham passes Davalos on lap four and on lap five, with the white flag out, Cunningham gains speed and effortlessly passes Eli Tomac who bobbled on lap four.
Josh Hansen wins Heat 2, his sixth heat race win of the year! This after a bad hand and collarbone injury in today's practice.
With a strong ride, Kyle Cunningham finishes 2nd, followed by Eli Tomac in 3rd. Also qualifying for tonight's main event: Davalos, Paluzzi, Steinke, Nauditt, Mull, and Bright.
Josh Hansen after his Heat 2 win, "I just keeps hurting my damn paw and that sucks. I dislocated my hand and the bone didn’t break through the skin, because there is already so much metal in it. A big thank you to Asterisk for helping me out."

Mike Alessi gets the holeshot in this 8 lap Supercross qualifer and leads for half a lap, but James Stewart quickly passes Alessi going into the first whoops section!
Austin Stroupe then passes Alessi, but goes down on lap two, as a result Andrew Short and Alessi pass Austin.

Lap 6 Chad Reed goes for a pass on Blose and Regal, but goes down and drops to eighth.
At the finish it's James Stewart with the win followed by Andrew Short in 2nd and Mike Alessi in third. The other qualifiers for tonight's main event are Stroupe, Regal, Blose, Reed, Sieblet, and Thomas.

James Stewart after his Heat 1 win, "The track is gnarly man! I had a great time. I'm going to go back to the rig and grab a cup of coffee to warm up and get back out here!"

Lap two, the crowd goes crazy as Windham passes Dungey again, while Ryan Villopoto follows behind in third. On lap three Millsaps in fourth, but loses it in the ruts and goes down. On lap four it's still Windham in first as Villopoto swaps places with the champ Dungey to move into second, but not without a fight.
Ryan and Ryan Battle back and forth, almost as they are playing with each other for the next two laps. Windham still in the lead, but Villopoto starts to gain on him, as lappers slow K-Dub.
On the final lap it's Kevin Windham with the Heat 2 victory, followed by Villopoto and Dungey in third. Wey, Tedesco, Tommy Hahn, Bowers, Millsaps and Friese all qualifier for tonight's Supercross main event.

Just missing tonight's main event is Alex Ray (314), he picks up the $250 Asterisk Gas card. With the high gas prices these days, that should get him 1/2 a tank of gas.
Michael Byrne wins The DC Shoes "Refuse to Lose" Supercross LCQ and will go on to the Supercross main event along with Fabien izoird. Tye Simmonds (942) just missed tonight's main event, but gets to take home the $250 Asterisk Gas Card.

Josh Hansen looses speed and on lap three he's passed by Kyle Cunningham. On lap five Kyle Cunningham goes down and finds himself in seventh place. Putting Josh Hansen comfortable in fourth place.
Half way thru the main event Eli Tomac gets in a rhythm, as he's still in second place. Tomac makes the pass on Broc Tickle with just three laps to go, as Broc makes a mistake in the whoops.
As the checkered flag falls, it's Cole Seely winning the Seattle Supercross 250 West Main Event, his second win of the season. Eli Tomac finishes in second and Broc Tickle rounds out the podium with his third place finish. Rounding out the top 10 are Rattray, Cunningham, Hansen (sixth), Morias, Davalos, Baker and Steinke.

Cole Seely after winning the Lites main event, "I got fired up after qualifiers, went back to my truck, got on my spinner, spun as fast as could and turned it around I guess."
The 250 West Region now has Pro Circuit's Broc Tickle taking over the points lead from teammate Josh Hansen, and Cole Seely gets the second win of his career.

K-Dub, "Better late then never and what a better place to do it than Seattle!"
