Fastest qualifying times in the 450 Supercross class went like this: Ryan Dungey - 54.6 seconds, Ryan Villopoto - 54.8 seconds, Justin Brayton - 55.0 seconds, Davi Millsaps 55.1 seconds, Kevin Windham - 55.20 seconds, Josh Hill - 55.21 seconds, Grant Langston - 55.9 seconds, Trey Canard - 56.3 seconds. It's odd, probably never happened in the history of supercross, but you have the top four riders from the previous season - defending champion James Stewart, Chad Reed, Andrew Short and Josh Grant - all out of the series right now with injuries.

The start of the first race - 250 East Heat number one - at the end of this six lap qualifying heat, it's Austin Stroupe with the lead. Austin holds the lead all the way until the checkered flag falls. Second is Kyle Regal, and he's following by Justin Barcia.

Next race - the 250 East Heat number two - and the leader at the start? 250 East Supercross defending champion Christophe Pourcel. Christophe is originally from France, but seems right at home and very comfortable racing supercross in the USA. Very smooth. And he wins this heat race. Second place goes to Brett Metcalfe, following by Ryan Sipes.

The 250's are running lap times in 56 and 57 second range.

Time for the first eight lap qualifying heat for the 450 Supercross class. The leader at the end of one lap - Davi Millsaps. He leads Ryan Dungey and Grant Langston. At the finish - it's Davi Millsaps hanging on for the win, Ryan Dungey is second, Justin Brayton makes it to third, and Grant Langston is fourth.

The second 450 Supercross qualifying heat takes off at the drop of the start gate, and it's Josh Hill with the lead. Kevin Windham has settled into second, and third is Ryan Villopoto. The top three are very close! Good racing here, ... with Kevin Windham winning this heat, Josh Hill is next, Ryan Villopoto third, and Trey Canard fourth.

The 250 East Main Event takes off! And the leader is supercross rookie Dean Wilson number 108 on the Pro Circuit racing team! And in second place, it's team-mate Christophe Pourcel. After the opening laps and riders settle, lap four shows Dean Wilson leading, Christophe Pourcel second, Austin Stroupe is third, Justin Barcia fourth, Brett Metcalfe fifth, Ryan Sipes sixth. Those top guys are very close.

At the halfway point, Austin Stroupe passes Dean Wilson for the lead. It's Stroupe leading, followed by Wilson, then Justin Barcia in third, and in fourth just a ways back is Christophe Pourcel.

A few laps later, leader Stroupe goes down. Then Barcia goes down. The leader now? The guys that was back in fourth a while ago - Christophe Pourcel! With two laps remaining, it Pourcel leading, he's followed by Stroupe, third is Brett Metcalfe, and then Dean Wilson. Great racing!

At the end of the 15 lap 250 East main event, it's Christophe Pourcel winning! Then Austin Stroupe, Brett Metcalfe, supercross rookie Dean Wilson, and fifth is Blake Baggett!

Christophe Pourcel said: I don't know if I was that special tonight. Those guys were fast. The race was crazy. We were pushing each other about. It was crazy with Barcia and Stroupe ... but I'm really happy.

Now it's time for the 450 Supercross Main Event - 20 laps. It's Ryan Dungey number 5 with the lead! Trey Carnard is second, and Ryan Villopoto is third.

At the five lap mark, it's Ryan Dungey leading, Ryan Villopoto is second, Trey Canard is running third in his second ever 450 Supercross race. Fourth is Davi Millsaps.

It's the top two guys in Supercross 2010 running first and second - Ryan Dungey and Ryan Villopoto, at the halfway point - ten laps in.

On lap 11, Ryan Villopoto falls. He can't start his bike. He's being passed by a lot of riders. He can't start the bike - he's pushing the bike off the track.

On lap 14, it's Ryan Dungey with the lead, Trey Canard is running second, then Davi Millsaps, fourth is Ivan Tedesco, and then Justin Brayton. Villopoto has re-entered the race - he's in 20th.

Ryan Dungey, after 20 laps, has won this Atlanta Supercross! He also breaks the tie in the championship points chase - Dungey is now leading the Series Championship with 170 points!

The top five - Ryan Dungey first, 450 Supercross rookie Trey Canard finishes second, third is Davi Millsaps, fourth Ivan Tedesco, and fifth is Justin Brayton. Josh Hill finishes sixth. Ryan Villopoto 19th.

Ryan Dungey said: It was a tough track to pass. Atlanta is special to me. I got my first professional supercross win here. We (the team) always try to improve. It was a fun night, the fans were great, and I really enjoyed the track.

Ryan Dungey has a 20 point lead now over second place Josh Hill, as the series next event is Saturday, March 6th at Daytona International Speedway.
