Round 6 of the Women's AMA National Motocross Series Championship, in Southwick, MA. Ashley Fiolek and Jessica Patterson are the top two women so far in 2011, and it will be Vicki Golden's first race after winning Gold at X Games 17. Will Hurricane Irene to come into the New England area here? Even under tough racing conditions, Ashley Fiolek comes away with the win, and extends her series points lead!
The ladies had two practice sessions, both in light rain. The quickest lap time this morning belongs to defending National Champion Jessica Patterson. 2 minutes 3 seconds. Second quickest - Ashley Fiolek at 2 minutes 5 seconds. Then Sayaka Kaneshiro, Tarah Gieger, Vicki Golden, Marissa Markelon, and Mariana Balbi.

Alexah Pearson finishes 3rd overall, for her first overall podium of her career.
The women came out onto a very tough track. Extremely muddy, and raining hard. Series points leader Ashley Fiolek won this moto, followed by Tarah Gieger, Marissa Markelon, Jacqueline Strong, and Sarah Whitmore top five.
Jessica Patterson had a couple of falls that ruined this race result for her.

This 15 minute plus one lap race has Jessica Patterson out front. She's being chased by Ashley Fiolek. They are running lap times in the 2 minute 30 second + range. Third is A Pearson as they finish lap four. The S Whitmore, S Kaneshiro, T Gieger, K Creson, L Palmer, J Strong and A Boham.
This race will go seven laps in the mud. And Jessica Patterson will win the moto. Ashley Fiolek is second and takes the overall victory. Third thru fifth - A Pearson, S Whitmore, T Gieger.
The 2011 AMA Women's National Motocross Championshp series has two rounds remaining - next weekend in Steel City (Delmont) PA, and the last round the following Saturday at Pala Raceway in California.
