Round 8, the finale of the 2011 Women's AMA National Motocross Series Championship, at Pala Raceway in San Diego county. Ashley Fiolek and Jessica Patterson are the top two women in 2011, and Ashley comes into Pala with a 22 point lead over Jessica.
Timed practice has Ashley Fiolek on top with 2 minutes 27 seconds. Then it's Jessica Patterson next at 2 minutes 28 seconds. Third and fourth in lap times for practice: Tarah Gieger and Women's World Motocross Champion, Steffi Laier from Germany.

Ashley Fiolek got the holeshot in the first moto, but Jessica Patterson eventual took the lead and won the first moto. Ashley Fiolek's series points lead was got cut down to 19 points after finishing 2nd in this moto. TLD Honda rider, Tarah Gieger had another strong moto finishing 3rd, while the 2011 X Games gold medal winner and native San Diegan, Vicki Golden finished 4th. Multi-time Women's World Champion, Steffi Laier finished 6th.

In Moto 2 it was Tarah Gieger who got the Meterman Holeshot award. Once again, Jessica Patterson took the lead and finished the day 1/1 for the overall victory. Tarah Gieger finished 2nd in moto 2 and thus securing 2nd overall with a 3/2 on the day. Ashley Fiolek rounded out the podium with her 2/3 finish, which was more than enough to make Ashley Fiolek the 2011 AMA WMX National Motocross Champion.
Vicki was ahead of Fiolek for a good part of moto 2, but a mistake by Vicki and Ashley capitalized, pushing Vicki to 4th. Sayaka Kaneshiro aka "Teriyaki Sauce" had one of her best days of her young careed finishing 5/6 for 6th overall, just one position behing Germany's Steffi Laier, who finished 5th in moto 2 for 5th overall for the day.
