How do I explain this one? Is it a supercross? Is it a motocross? Is it both? I think the real answer will be know once the event is complete, and everyone, especially the riders, give their opinion. After all, they are the ones that have to ride the track, and are also the ones that know best about what is supercross vs. motocross.
I have it on good authority that PJ Larsen and Matt Moss have inked deals to ride the 250's and 350's next year here in the states. This is great news and I am more than a fan of both guys. PJ was my regular SX pick in fantasy racing this year and it was for good reason. Matt Moss on the other hand has something to reprove. I thought for sure this guy would have success in the states but it didn't pan out the first time around.
Moss has dealt with more than a few injuries and just one way or another was never able to maximize the Suzuki deal he had a few years ago. Now Moss is back on top and brimming with confidence so this could be a good thing. What it also does in some fashion is possibly remove the rumour that Mookie would be riding a JDR KTM.
The most interesting part of what I heard is that both guys have the option to ride the KTM 350 on the opposite coast. I for one am a big fan of seeing the 250 guys step up mid season and refining their "next step" skills. We have scene a surprise in the expected results of some of the 250 regulars in the class and I think both of these guys are easy main riders in a 450 main. On top of that I think Moss could do something silly and put the bike up front a few times.
As for the rest of the KTM squad it was announced earlier this week that th KTM factory team was set. Roczen and Musquin will run the factory banner and Dungey will ride the 450 without Short returning. I say this becasue you should see something formally announced within the next few days.
Next season is really starting to take shape and the two other puzzle pieces are ready to fall. It is clear by the removal of top names from the Monster race that things are really moving in the "Factory" background. Honda announced this week quite a few global plans in terms of HRC and I think you will see the same thing from Suzuki soon. As I mentioned before, MotoGP seems to be the dominating issue in racing budget and the rumours are the Suzuki is sticking around in MotoGP. I don't know what to make of the news because emy take is more MotoGP less Moto budget. I could care either way where the money goes, but there is no question in regards to the domino effect that comes on a macro scale, such as Suzuki.
Also I would like to tell RacerX to start writing their own content. I read a few things from them today and unfortunately they look very similar to some things I have read from other writers, almost verbatim. This is somewhat disappointing but no question obvious. Plagiarism is a serious thing and now that I am educated it is much easier to spot. So my point.....RacerX you are not the official site of silly season and your weak *** attempt to play dumb is weak. It goes to show the trend which has been mentioned many times over about the sham that follows their journalism.
OK I better go now before I start telling stories about things I shouldn't just to make people at Magazines look bad who pretend to be saintly.
