Man has it been quite a bit since the last time I sat and banged out something of substance. As a matter a fact I believe I left off with my six through ten pick for Supercross. Well.....ya sorry about that I had it on a to do list and now I can finally get to it. One problem though. The series is over. Yes just like every year we blinked and it passed. Early on things were exciting, surprising and just out right crazy, but as time wore on the series defined itself. My predictions were way off and my top two picks were well picking themselves up off the ground while a rookie rode away with the title. The only minor kink for a while was RV who we all know is healing up as we speak, but no where near seeing a track this summer. Bummer!

Well life will go on and so did the first round and man was it a good one. Both classes had tons of excitement and the track looked as good as it could get for Hangtown. I am going to save you the details because frankly you all probably know them by now. So lets talk about a couple of things that are floating around the motosphere.

First and foremast comes James Stewart or the absence there of. Man what an enigma he has become. I recently got a chance to watch the first three episodes of his new reality show and I have to say I am surprised and I am not surprised all at the same time. The show seems like a PR nightmare for his sponsors and a somewhat beginning of the alienation of his core fans. Now I know plenty of people who defend the decisions of his camp, but on this one I am not one of them. On his show James looks pretty burned out and I think the pressure of having a camera mounted up in his face the whole time is a problem. Now I know he has a wrist injury and I know he is on a Supercross only team. I have no problems there, but based on his show he was ready to take the year off before it ever started. Hopefully things change on the show and we see him back on the track soon. I just can't help but think we may have a little Pastrana syndrome going on here.

The next most talked subject both before and after is a combo subject for me and I will keep it short. Well really three things when I think about it. One is the new KTM350, Mike Alessi and the USGP. All three involve each other all three are outside the box thinking and all three are going to be coexisting this weekend. I plan on making the trip to see the FIM guys in action. I know they are coming back for five years and Des Nations in 2013, but this year is special to me being it was twenty years ago that I last saw a GP and in the very same place. It should be a great time and my prediction is that Antonio beats Mikey both motos.....that is unless Mikey is Mikey....can't wait.

I thought I would add a last little part in here about something that we have all seen coming for a long time. The final nail in J-Law Racing has been hammered and the doors are shut. I am bummed for moto because you hate to see any rider with out a ride. I hear GL has a few things going and is slated to run the GP so lets all wish him luck. Zulu did the unthinkable there almost ten years ago sweeping the moto's as a rookie to the series, let's hope some of that magic comes back.

Well that is all I got for now and I will have a bunch more to finish after the weekend. See you on Monday!
