So you have to give them $1000 and take over payments? How much do they owe? I would say it is more fitting to just take over payments. Do you think Jimmie will really like a linkageless rear suspension?

First of all, they've screwed things up. When you're talking about a 150-160 2 stroke being equal to a 250f, essentially the Lites class has increased in speed which is a bad thing. Going from an 80 to a 160 2 stroke/250f is too great of a jump.

Secondly, a 125 or 250 today is already faster than it was 20 years ago. In Formula I they keep reducing displacment limits to manage the overall speed of the cars over time, and keep things a little safer.

If displacement requirements should be going anywhere, they should be going down, following Formula I's lead.

Thirdly, in amateur racing, a 250 2 stroke is allowed to race in the Lites class. What???? Now a kid can go from an 80 to a 250 2 stroke? That is a crazy jump, and the 250 is a Premier class bike!
It's also not fair to the 4 stroke racers. This rule should be retracted as soon as possible keeping in mind the investment these racers have made.

So, let's say for Pro MX/SX the AMA decides to allow 250 2 strokes in the Lites class, and 450 2 strokes in the Premier class. They essentially just got rid of the Lites class altogether, and brought back the Open class. (500cc).

My opinion is that we should recognize that 4 strokes are not as powerful as 2 strokes, and make some changes that effect the 2013 season.

I think a 350 4 stroke will be a popular bike for many. It's going to be more comfortable to ride, and I bet sales will be good.

So... to keep things affordable for amateurs I propose that we keep things how they are and phase in the changes a little slower.

Both of these rules are to keep the amateur races affordable, not require new bike purchases right away, and allow time to phase in new bikes. I believe this will work.

Either way, the manufacturers should be happy because they will be selling a lot of new bikes.

I propose the following classes:

-------- PRO --------------

2010
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 250 4 stroke
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 450 4 stroke

2011
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 250 4 stroke
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 450 4 stroke

2012
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 250 4 stroke
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 450 4 stroke

2013
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 190 4 stroke / 250 4 stroke *1(RPM Limited)
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 350 4 stroke / 450 4 stroke *1(RPM Limited)

2014+
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 190 4 stroke
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 350 4 stroke

----------- AMATEUR -------------

2010
Lites: 250 2 stroke / 250 4 stroke
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 450 4 stroke

2011
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 250 4 stroke / 250 2 stroke *2(Stock)
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 450 4 stroke

2012
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 250 4 stroke / 250 2 stroke *2(Stock)
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 450 4 stroke

2013
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 190 4 stroke / 250 4 stroke *1(Rev Limited)
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 350 4 stroke / 450 4 stroke *1(Rev Limited)

2014
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 190 4 stroke / 250 4 stroke *1(Rev Limited)
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 350 4 stroke / 450 4 stroke *1(Rev Limited)

2015
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 190 4 stroke / 250 4 stroke *1(Rev Limited)
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 350 4 stroke / 450 4 stroke *1(Rev Limited)

2016
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 190 4 stroke / 250 4 stroke *1(Rev Limited)
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 350 4 stroke / 450 4 stroke *1(Rev Limited)

2017
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 190 4 stroke / 250 4 stroke *1(Rev Limited)
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 350 4 stroke / 450 4 stroke *1(Rev Limited)

2018
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 190 4 stroke / 250 4 stroke *1(Rev Limited)
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 350 4 stroke / 450 4 stroke *1(Rev Limited)

2019
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 190 4 stroke / 250 4 stroke *1(Rev Limited)
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 350 4 stroke / 450 4 stroke *1(Rev Limited)

2020
Lites: 125 2 stroke / 190 4 stroke
Premier: 250 2 stroke / 350 4 stroke

Notes:

*1 To ease the transition, and allow for manufacturers not having 190f / 350f 4 strokes ready in the same model year, I propose that we allow the engines to run as is with RPM limitations.

This can be accomplished by tweaking the Rev limiters. I think the lower displacement bikes will be a better ride.

Use of a 250f/450f in the amateur classes is extended out until 2019 so that amateurs don't have to replace bikes so soon.

*2 AMA Amateur rules allow a 250 2 to race the Lites class. For those racers who are taking advantage of this rule, they can run their 250 2's for a couple years with a stock pipe, carb, and no porting. This makes things a little more fair for the guys running 250f's.

What do you guys think?

Sorry but you are WRONG! Last I checked GL was not an American rider but is loved by most fans in the USA. Reed is also very popular along with burner and others. We bash riders from the USA also not just foreign riders.

Damn, I forgot about GL!!! I hope he is gonna make it back soon!!!

SH posted on vital that they've got a deal worked out and details will be released soon.

And MX9799, I said I think CP was offended that Dungey thought he couldn't race Pourcel for fear of being taken out. That's just my theory though, no idea if it's correct. He could very well just be a dick .

probably closer to the truth from hearing accounts of people that worked with him or were around him often. but really he may be a nice guy that just has peanut butter stuck to the roof of his mouth?

Got it idling need to but new seals/orings for the exhaust and I guess the hot setup is to run a washer of the head to reduce the exhaust outlet and ease the hit a lil bit for him. I really wanna get him out on it if these darn Pacific storms would stop rolling in. . .

How was he riding the little pit-bike..Was he half throttle or just putting around?

I seen a setup where a guy ran a small wire from a front brake bolt to the throttle grip..The hand stop part of the grip..he just punched a hole through and used a little clip..That way you can only turn the throttle like 1/4 turn..

Just asking.

The guy that is who manages Weys team managed the MDK KTM team, and he is buds with the people at KTM.

Do you know what the deal was with that manager and Preston? Did he really just screw Preston out of his salary?

The manager doesnt pay the bills. Prestons contract had a performance cluase, and when he started complaning about his checks being late, the fired him.

They would have screwed him in the long run tho, bcause they were out of money. That is why Brayton was in the Muscle Milk rig and not the other one, thy couldnt afford to run both.

The Brooks crash I remember him saying he almost tore his arm off in that ultracross crash.
Ahhh, in other words a crash that anyone here would get up from and finish the moto :-D

An 1986 YZ 125, simple fast 125 2 stroke motor, easy to work on, easy to make fast and easy to maintain.

Now look at this beast, not a thing I want to work on, complicated and at 245 lbs it just heavy. Just changing the air filter on this gives me nightmares.

I agree with you 100%! Unfortunately it was bound to happen sooner or later. Look at cars. Everyone used to know how to work on cars. Now you have to have a masters in engineering or work for NASA to change the spark plugs. My last bike was a YZ125 and I sold it to my nephew to get a WR250F or CRF250X. Now I'm reconsidering that decision and might just get another 125 or tamed down 250 smoker.

I don't understand how all of these guys get so sick that they can't ride a bike. At their level of fitness wouldn't it make them more resistant to illness? Or are they eating such limited diets that they have no immune system anymore. I'm an average 175lb guy that works out a couple times a week and eats healthy, and I might catch a cold or flu every other year. It doesn't make sense to me..
I was once told by a trainer (one with a college degree on fitness) that when people train really hard they are vulnerable to colds and things. I don't know if it it's true or not.

Over training can cause drops in testosterone levels leading to many problems most temporary such as: ED, depression and a compromised immune system. However I think someone such as Reed is more likely to suffer from this than JS by a long shot as he only races part time.

yes exactly, I think james might have overtrained since he sat on his @$$ this summer, and gained weight, and lost muscle, he must have decided to put his training into overtime, and basically almost hurt himself trying to get back into the shape he was.

hopefully he will get better soon.

Jason Lawrence is gonna come out of the pokey with an entirely new attitude towards life and especially racing, he will start dedicating more time than he ever has towards training and focussing on the task at hand. By the Daytona week of supercross he will be standin third in points and the world will be awaikend. Top 5 in points at seasons end. http://www.supercross.com/images/fbfiles/images/jason_lllll.jpg

It would make a great bench racing story, but I don't see it happening. He will have to show up in a pick up on his own cash and win races. If he did and he changed his image he would get a second chance in a heartbeat. The world has a pretty short term memory and there are still enough people who want to see the guy at a race and are willing to pay just to see him.
Yeah, he probably all but burned some serious bridges by not finishing races last year. If I was a sponsor I would be pissed.

But you know, a short time in the clink does make some people wake up. If he just races every race at 100% on whatever bike he can get his hands on, he'll do fine, even if it's bone stock.

Heck, he can probably get a local dealership to loan him one at each race. Sponsor for a day. B)

He still has the team, bikes, parts, rig and AM/PM AND Boost Mobile as sponors.
Awesome! I hope he does well. He could make this season even more interesting.

Before the FIM started reducing classes into things the big manufacturers could dominate, there used to be a thriving 50cc adult enduro championship in Europe. Plus I actually saw 5occ adult motocrossers in the deep sand of Holland. Usually seven speed gearboxes and a complete replacement of every bearing in the engine every week, but boy those suckers could fly. I think the only class that were faster were the 125s ...

In 10 years most people will be riding electric bikes. You don't have to join in but you can't stop the progrssion either.

It's the nature of the sport, it's the nature of all sports.

Why develope suspension and motor components, why are Kawasaki or Honda etc spending millions on R&D trying to improve their bikes every year? It's to give "You" an easier time on the track so that they inturn make money. Most people want to be competitive, even fat guys in their 50s who only ever practice on the weekends want to be the best they can be.

You may as well say I'm going to ride twin shocks because a modern day 2009 YZ 250 makes it too easy! It's the same principal.

I don't think trying to retard the 4 strokes (i.e lowering their cc) is going to help the 2 strokes enough. I think a 250f will still beat a 250 2 stroke. Power isn't everything and over the last few years the 2 strokes have had zero development.

But as I said it's all academic anyway because were all be on electric bikes soon and then the argument will start over again. Best way out of this is to let the pro's run the latest and greatest and to have classes (2 stroke class, 4 stroke class etc) for everyone else. That way everyone can still run what they want and remain competitive.

Progress? The pros are racing 4 stroke for political not technological reasons. Why won't the AMA let the pros race 250 against 250F? Bring back the open class and will see what's what.

I wish they would...Or if someone could start a whole different supercross and Motocross series..with only 2-strokes..Don't go through the AMA..Use one of the other one's like CMC or something..I don't know..But you would think something could be done...I don't think it would take long for the japs to get a line of 2-stroke rolling again...

I think this is a job for DMG to pull off....

More like this is job for Lee Collins? who's that said the rabbit.

Okay,

We never have done this before but consider it an early Christmas present. Here are the outtakes to the spoofs we shown at this years "Monsters of Motocross" event. As you'll see Bob Hannah is a great sport and funny as hell.

To see what the spoofs were actually about, you'll have to stay tuned for the DVD. But, in the meantime you'll see glimpses of Tony DiStefano, John DeSoto, Tony D's Grandmother and his dad...Don't ask...

We'll see you next year on Saturday, November 6th, 2010...

Enjoy,

The very first outside sponsor I remeber was in 1980, Honda was sponored by Toyota and they gave all the riders a team truck paintedf in Honda graphics with their name on the door. Then a few other popped up, then came along Jeff Glass who to this day has a hand in getting outside sponsors. He startedf his own team with money fron Surf detergent and it evolved from there.

Riders salarys are a small portion of what a teams budget is, most of the buget is in R&D. The top salary right now on a 250 team is 350k, thats about 8% of what it cost for that one rider to do the series. That one rider with a 350k salary requiers about another 1.5 mill to do the series, with all the testing, parts, labor, mechanics, rigs, hotels, travel and all the expenses that go along with keepingthat team on the road. Then they have a race shop that is a whole nother story. Racing is an expesive deal, and no its not because of 4 strokes, if anything 4 strokes have helped race teams that provide a swervice.

Ouside sponsors dont really help with paying one rider, but rather the whole team. A big misconception about team budgets, is that it is made up of bike sales, its not, its the overall sales of the corperation. Once the sales numbers from the corp comes in they decide their advertising budget and then its divided up and that is where the get their money.

There have been riders who have gotten rides because of the outside money they could bring in. I wont say names, but several rider who have come up from the amatuers have gotten suprise rides because of outside money they bring.

Other, like Stewy have signed with a team so they could bring their outside sponsor. Jeremy McGraths pay was highly increased when he brought in 1-800-collect to Honda, and Reed is able to ride with Kawi because of the outside money he is generating. If your name can pull in more team sponors, then they will hire you. DeCoster tried everything he could to get the team sponsor to give some more money to keep Reed but they couldnt.

Stewy has hurt some riders ability to negotiate. When Reed went looking for a ride last year he went straight to a good team and told them they could have him for this price, they said no. I asked the team manager why he wouldnt pay that amount for the SX champ and he said "Why would I spent that much on second place".

Well I dont mean to bore you, I hope this helped.

Wasn't boring at all. I never knew how little the rider salary was relative to the cost to go racing.

That bit about Reed is a bit surprising. I wouldn't expect him to earn as much as Stewart, but in 09 he was the only other person that was expected to be competitive for the title. You'd think that teams would pay a little extra to have that opportunity.

That was my point exactly Nikhil. It seems to me you would want the one person that would have a better chance at winning in the event you can't get the one that does win the most, but hey water under the bridge now.

They both have two SX titles and 1 Nats title......pay me the same!

I'm not a big fan of Stewart, but he's still the favorite to win. That means he is worth more money, at least in the eyes of a team manager. Reed, while fast, is still considered the underdog.

I myself would not pay for Reed either...I don't think I could put up with his arrogence..But thats just me..If I was putting up that kind of money I would pick a top rider that I liked..

If you wouldnt pay someone who is arrogant and hard to work with, you wouldnt be hiring Stewy either.

James the man Bubba Stewart the fastest man on the planet, his ability to overcome obsticle's still to this day amazes all the old Pro's from day's past.

To me it seems like shorter riders, when they get out of shape there's no leverage to bring it back.(RC/JS use pure strenght)

At the same time tall guys look goofy when they get outta shape.

Well I'm your height and maybe alittle more and when your standing up in atack mode and you get kicked pulling your body back to where it's suppose to be IMO takes more effort for the taller rider. I'm a god in ruts:P

True, my legs and lower back takes it the most.

shorter guys rely on strenght and taller guys rely on finesse. IMO
It's all about finesse, no matter how tall or short you are.

When I first started riding again, I went to Starwest with a buddy. We were feeling good about things (arm pump aside). Then this skinny woman about 5'4" maybe, with arms like Olive Oil goes out and does about 15 laps flying, clearing everything including a big table on the backside.

My friend and I looked at each other and said "We suck!".

She didn't have enough muscles to rely on strength. That's the reference I use to make sure I'm not trying to muscle the bike around. A couple of weeks ago I rode the best I've ever rode in my entire life. Now that I think about it, it's because I was making the bike work for me. It was all about finesse!

Point taken! I was referring to 'gettin out shape' or situations of 'it's all bad'

RC/JS muscle their bike to save a crash.

K-Dubb uses finesse.

SpartanRacer, you're from SA too..any news?

sorry man I haven't been in SA for 11 years, but I called up my cousin, and he said that Langston will be with suzuki, and he probably will start his own team like Jason Lawrence did this year. I think he will bring an outside sponser, but im not sure about that last one.

Thought as much, but hoped you might keep tabs on the SA boys as we are quite the patriotic bunch. Thx for the info, i really hope Langston can put a ride together. Would be great to have a 450 to support with Rattray already there.

Subject: BENEFIT RIDE DAY for ROSS MAEDA__December 6th - by: MXnSX

One December 6th, a benefit ride day for Ross at Perris Raceway. Jeff Nordstrom, Rick Johnson and Sebastien Tortelli have graciously donated the track for the day, and we hope to put on one hell of a fundraiser to help Ross with his continued therapy expenses. The Metal Mulisha jump team (plus Nate Adams) are putting on a show to help attract spectators, and we will be selling Rossi support bracelets, stickers and T-shirts.

How can you help? We are hoping to solicit donations from our friends in the motocross industry, so that we may conduct a raffle, a silent auction, and a live auction. We’ve even secured the services of a real, live, fast-talking auctioneer to help with the show…

If you can help with a donation of any kind, please contact me via e-mail at donn.maeda@transworld.net or by cell 714/425-8969. Or, product donations may be shipped to: Help Rossi, 226 North Maple Street, Corona, California, 92880.

WHO: Everyone is invited!
WHAT: A ride day to benefit Ross Maeda, who suffered paralyzing injuries in a crash, five weeks ago. There will be a perfectly prepared MX track, a mini track for the kids, a huge raffle with a ton of prizes, a silent auction for a bunch of awesome services (suspension revalves, helmet paint, etc.), a live auction for some great items, plus a FMX demo by the Metal Mulisha (plus Nate Adams) at 12 noon.
WHERE: Perris Raceway in Perris, California
WHY: Because Ross needs our help. (And also because it’s gonna be a fun day at the track!)

72 wins...heck no. JS has spent just as much time on the sidlines during the SX series as he has when he raced the Outdoors in the last 4-5 years. Even "IF" JS collects 72 wins he will need a heck of a lot more years to accomplish it as to where MC had almost all of his wins in his first 5 years. Guess an asterisk will definately be in place if it does happen.:P

Decided to take the plunge and take on the 8 hour drive from Newcastle to see the final round of Super-X in Brisbane. Taking my wife and 5yr old daughter(who loves bikes!), so should be a great road trip. We are leaving Friday morning and have a motel booked for 2 nights. Its about 12 minutes from the stadium, so that's pretty good aswell. Not suprisingly, the deciding factor for the long journey, was none other than James Stewart. Not many sx/mx fans outside the US can say they have seen James race in real life, so i don't want to miss the opportunety, because who knows if he will ever be back down under! Even though i'll be cheering for Chad, seeing him ride in person will be a great privilege. So, who else on Supercross.com is making the pilgrimage to Brisbane, and where are your seats? I got gold tickets, and will be sitting in the eastern grandstand. Can't wait:)

I could not agree more bkgope. Far too often in life we make choices or do things based on what others want and not necessarily on what is best for us. Or in the work environment, what is what the boss/company/career wants and not what is best for our family.

Life is too short to waste it doing things you don't really want to do.

And, Stewart is probably financially prosperous enough that he doesn't have to do anything that he doesn't really want to do. I imagine he's been doing what his father and others have wanted him to do since he first started racing... and now he knows that he can direct his own affairs more personally .

Thats pure comedy right there.

I sit around the camp fire a laugh about how much money the kid is making these day's as well, just glad i talked him out of the jetski gig. It could be alot worse he could be wearing hats that look like this

Yep it would have been sad watching him get his ass handed to him by Sheldon every week.

Yea the kid does have money, but the 3 guys who started that company all made enough money to do what they want now, just sayin.

I run all Jet Pilot gear when wakeboarding they make good stuff man!

I heard one of the three guys that started it is the envy of someone on this board and that person is always trying to take cheap shots at that person.

Good read Nik! There is no doubt that things in specific areas are turning around. 16 years of miss management wont be repaired in 8 months and given the results versus the time frame I am happy so far. We can be pessimistic all we want, but still the people who are most effected by the new changes will be the ones on the opposite ends of the spectrum and we know how things tend to sway on the political spectrum when it comes to finances. So in some ways I am sure anyone with a capitalistic view might feel slighted if they are not having financial problems with justification, while the folks hurt the most looking for ways to recoup their loss of industry stand there with hands wide open saying where did the money go that i gave to the capitalistic guy to invest? You baby boomer's are pretty divided at the moment and cant decide if you want to save the world with love or kick every one out not willing throw your eggs in a higher power's basket to see things through.

I think it's a good rule to force champions to move up after they have a chance to defend their title. But for this year it'll be work out because there are already a lot of fast riders in the premier class. It'll keep both classes interesting.

Thanks for the update.

sweet! I don't think he would win the title next year against rossi, but it'll be great for the sport.

By 9 titles, you mean for 500 cc class, or combined all classes?

If I remember correctly it is something like this ...

1 x 125
1 x 250
3 x 500
4 x MotoGP

by 500 class I mean big bikes in general. Too bad they don't run them anymore. But either way 7 titles is insane. He's getting close to reaching RC status.

All this talk of 2-stroke vs 4-stroke again :S

The thing that surprised me the most in the original article was how the entire characteristics of the 2-stroke motor could be changed. Just as much, if not more than a 4-stroke.

What if you combine the best characteristics of current 2-strokes and 4-strokes into the one motor?

I don't care for 2XL supercross on the iPhone. The graphics are nice, but the latency on the controls sucks. It feels like I'm riding a boat which would be fine if I was driving a boat. That and it does that fly off the screen thing once in a while. Maybe it's just me. I just haven't liked the Rainbow studios games. I've heard their next version may kick butt though. We shall see.

Unleashed looks pretty cool. I haven't tried it yet.

Erik knows what he is doing and I just don't see Honda going the young guy route until FC is not using Honda's and some management philosophy changes over in the Honda glass buildings.

It's a shame things have so drastically changed since the "Old Man" passed at Honda. They have forgotten the teams of "young guns" that made them what they were for so long...the dream team of factory motocross. They are farther from that now that I've ever seen.

I doubt that Erik Kehoe has much real say so on matters like this...because he's probably a little worried about rocking the boat and losing his job too. Best to go with the flow...and keep the mortgage paid, and momma happy. :-D

Funny you say that because that looks like the team's whole philosophy or at least in the last few years. I have no first hand info on Erik other than what I knew about him 10 years ago and that wasn't much. I have a friend who works on the team and he always has great things to say, but you can't ignore all the talent that has walked away from that team in the peaks of their careers.

I was looking thru the privateer section, and to my dismay i saw nothing on Gavin Grayck. My son and i have the honor and privelage of knowing him. Gavin is not only a great rider, but also a good person who likes kids. As my son also races and Gavin takes the time to follow Zach`s race results thru text and email. On his time off Gavin will drive an hour and a half one way to help Zach work on his racing techniques.

So in closing if anyone who may be looking for a rider who is not only an asset on the track but also off. I suggest that you consider Gavin Gracyk.

Not all that up on the new bikes but we used to use a little lapping compund on the tapered bolts that held the rear sprocket on then spun the bolt into the sprocket to get a good seat then used blue lock-tite and fresh lock nuts, that seemed to do the job.

Thanks, I put blue loctite on this time, if it don't hold I will try and lap them also.

Yeah was a big jump. Aparently in qualifying Matt Moss tripled it. So says Gary Reid......

DMG is legit and let's just get past that. For the most part people know who he is and he is willing to at least give some info to back it. Maybe you could bring something other than web tidbits to bring in some legitimacy. Like some info about your background as a rider or industry supporter or flag guy, whatever, but something more than mine is bigger than yours.

Plus don't say you really care less because it when it is obvious you do and let's also remember that if it is breaking news here most everyone knows about it anyways. In most cases the web is the last place to get insider info. As a matter of a a fact I think DMG is about as close as it gets anymore and we know his credentials...

So after your done with the tug of war maybe we can just keep bringing "conversation" back to the table....

Mine is 100% stock, and it's perfect for me. It's a 2005 as well.
Granted I haven't ridden it a whole lot, but I've had nothing break on it. I'm actually still running the stock spark plug. I probably should change it one of these days, but it runs great so why mess with anything?

Well he talks just like him now and it's sickening

oh yeah, s***'s me to tears how he impersonates RC. Man that is annoying.

RD Doesn't actually train with RC. He has his own trainer at a gym in CA that sends him programs and trains with him while he's in town. His trainer isn't in the Industry, yet He's really good at Nutrition and Diet. RC said he can use his place in tallahassee with IT if they split the cost ( IT, RD ) for the track while dungey is looking to buy land up in South GA close to RC's place. RC rides with him and helps him out a if RC is riding but RD is on his own program.

OK, so everyone jumped on the point that I was off on the lap times in Australia SX race. Sorry, I was going off the size of the track and what it looked like on their web site. I looked for a link that would give me the lap times, but couldn't find it.
I didn't see any comments about the other info I posted matching the Reed and Stewart up at different races (and that's a tough, but I felt like I had good points) and at the 2008 US Open.
Is there a reason no one took those points on?
Or was it easier to comment on the part were I made a mistake (on lap times) and look past all the other facts?

I was posting about Reed and Stewart, not lap times.

It's sweet as heck, like eggnog but I think it works. After I ride i'm sore for like 2/3 days but the day I tried it, I wasn't that bad. Gotta run a few more test. :)

Just make sure you drink it within 20 after a rigorous workout. If I am at the track I drink half about halfway through the day then the rest before I change out of my gear and loadup. The key is when your body needs the protein which is sooner than later not just giving it to it when you feel like it.

well, I wish I could go over there this weekend. The new track is about an hour from my house and I guess it is super sick. Nice natural terrain with some great dirt. Weather this weekend here should be just about PERFECT for some MX practice! about 60 with a chance of passing light rain. It is opening up this saturday but my 09 KX450 is still broken (waiting for parts on it), my 07 KX450 is loaned out to a buddy so HE can go ( since his 08 KX450 is broken ), and my 05 CRF450 is getting all ready for the 24 hour race. Then there is the rest of the crap I gotta get ready for the WA trip. Pack up the gear bag, tools, extra parts and oils, chairs, heaters, ez ups, coolers, tents, warm clothes, etc. (in which you should be preparing too!) So I won't get to go until after I get back. Weather permitting that is.

Pretty Sure Suzuki have got Austin Stroupe to ride along side Dungey in the 250 class. Hart and Hunington have signed Chris Blose to ride alongside Matt Boni. Star Racing have Nico Izzi and Martin Davalos? I believe there may be more riders to be announced. Trey Canard and Justin Barcia will again be on Geico Honda and i think Eli Tomac will be joining the team for the outdoors. I believe there are more but these are the only ones I think of off the top of my head. Hope this helps, I'm sure some of the guys on here will enlighten you to more B)

That's great ! I hope he and James do some practicing together. Josh is very fast and chasing James on the practice track will only make him faster. I think he's a definite threat. If he can stay healthy.

Since Yoshimura has taken on Suzuki in-house Factory effort, we all know what type of Exhaust Systems they will run on their race bike's next year, but what about their other sponsor's (industry and outside industry)?

I know they cleaned house with the staff, but hung onto RD and Dungey's mechanic. What about "H" and Goose? Are they still with the team?

The Factory Suzuki team race shop was already run out of one Yoshimura's buildings (so I'm sure they will continue to work there) and Suzuki has a great relationship with Yosh, so it's no surprise.

Should be a good fit!
