A new entry to MX could get more traction (pun intended) by opening with a 2-stroke with the newest technologies and bling appeal. They would instantly differentiate their product and appeal to what many believe is a trend that is overdue but imminent.

Kind of funny this 'reversed cylinder' stuff. I remember Dave Miller grafting a XR75 top end on a KX80 bottom end (or something like that) with the cylinder reversed to allow the cam chain to be powered by the waterpump drive. MXA did a write up on it I think.
