Man that sucks. Was glad to read he stil had feeling in his legs. IDK. Can you continue to ride and or compete at that level with fused vertebra and rods in your back?

More work means less riding. Oh well. Maybe I can finally afford one of them fanchy 4 strokes Finch raves about.

Wow what a shame. Doug Henry came back and won the National title after what would have been a career ending injury for most of us, but each injury is different and it would also have a lot to do with the individual too.

Keeping him in my thoughts along with all these guys. I hate this time of year for this, seems like every Nov/Dec we lose more and more to injury. Good luck to these guys to stay healthy till A1 and through the year.

You certainly can. My surgeon refuses to put rods in unless the vertebrae are fused as the rod can cause serious damage otherwise. I currently have fractured T11 & T12 so have a good idea of that he is going through.

I hear ya Russ, but I have to question is it a good idea. I mean you guys broke your back. I broke my ankles both a couple of times and they haven't been the same since. I would think breaking your spine would leave some questions dancing around in your heads on whether or not high level competition or hell riding period would still be a good idea.

Man I wish you the guys the best of luck. My dad was in a car accident when he was 17 and was on his back for a year. His problems however never seems to heal, but he did manage to ride until he was in his mid 30's.
