Thought those of you who were not there on Saturday night would like to see Jody Weisel's movie we produced for him on Tony D. Jody did a good job on it!

I agree. Tony made an impression on me when I met him as well, because he seemed to just be a normal cool guy...no ego or rock-star attitude. Cool also to see Weinert in the flick. I still have the #7 Kawasaki jersey he gave me to hand out fliers for his next-day MX school at the Rio Bravo Trans-AMA as a kid.

Yeah...the sport was a lot different then. I'm not convinced that it has changed for the better.

Thanks, MX-Files, for sharing the video. Racers like Tony D were what appealed to so many of us in our youth. My older brothers used to argue over who got to be Tony D just before the start of our backyard bmx races. The current sport misses out on such heros because the big $ has made it too anti-septic and corporate. I guess I need to go watch "On Any Sunday" one more time.

That was a great video to watch. I have to confess I didnt know anything about Tony D, outside that I had heard his name mentioned a few times, but I learned a little watching that. I enjoyed that very much, thanks for posting.

Tony D is a cool guy. He was great at his award ceremony.
