You gotta admit most of the all time greats have been short dudes.

The stats show there are more shorter champions than tall ones. But some of the smoothest riders of all time are the taller ones.

Kevin Windham is 6'1"

Bubba is pretty small also. Not quite as short as RC, RV, or Wardy, but compared to most people, he's pretty short. I think shorter people have an advantage on a bike in that they don't have to stand up as far as taller people. If you look at RC when he's standing on a bike, his butt isn't that far off the seat. You stand up and sit down a lot in a race, and if you only have to stand 4", you got a bit of an advantage against someone who has to raise their ass 12" a gazillion times during a race.

That and weight..weight is a huge deal..some of the fast guys right now are 5'5...5'4...98 pounds wet..

True dat. I guess I got some good excuses now. I'm 6'2", and weight about 210, so I have to raise my heavy ass a lot higher off the seat than some short 100 pound kid. I got my excuses ready for next season already.
