San Bernardino CA - Glen Helen MX Raceway: For the second year in a row, the World Motocross Championships come to the USA, at the legendary Glen Helen MX Raceway in southern California.

This weekend's event is Round 3 of the 2011 FIM World Motocross Championships. The series started in Bulgaria, with Clement Desalle taking the win in the MX1 class, and Ken Roczen winning the MX2 class. (Results from that event here)

Two weeks later, on Easter Monday, Round 2 was held in Valkenswaard, Netherlands, with World Motocross MX1 Champion Tony Cairoli winning in MX1, and 'hometown' racer Jeffrey Herlings winning in MX2. (Results from that event here)

As all the teams and riders gather at Glen Helen, things are shaping up for a great event. Weather can always be an issue at Glen Helen, and this weekend's weather looks to be perfect - very temperate, around 70 degrees.

Who will you see there? How about Ken Roczen coming off his first Supercross win last weekend in Las Vegas? Ken is leading the MX2 World Championships right now. His KTM team-mate Jeffrey Herlings - another young, dynamic rider and personality, who is second in the MX2 class. How about Tommy Searle and Max Anstie, both riding CLS Monster Pro Circuit Kawasaki's. American GP contender Zach Osborne. And, it's the return of World Motocross Champion of MX2 - Marvin Musquin!

In MX1, you've got the 'big boys': World Champion Tony Cairoli from Italy, former World Champions David Philippaerts (Italy) and Steve Ramon (Belgium). Belgian Clement Desalle, and, from France, the current series points leader, Monster Energy Yamaha's Steven Frossard. Don't forget Max Nagl from Germany too!

The "Veterans" will be racing this weekend at Glen Helen this weekend too.
