Round 12 of the FIM World Motocross Series in the Czech Republic - Belgian Clement Desalle scores MX 1 GP win. KTM's MX 1 World Motocross Champion Tony Cairoli from Italy finishes second. The German wrecking crew that is Ken Roczen continued his march towards claiming his first world title, as Kenny won both motos of MX2 today, and extends his series points lead in the MX2 class.
The 'Serpentine' circuit of Loket is set in the forest above the hills of the village. It is a very beautiful place, and a great "up-and-down" motocross track.
MX1 - Clement Desalle continues his hopes of winning his first MX1 World Championship, by winning the Czech MX GP today. He went 2/1 to score 47 points. But defending World MX Champion Tony Cairoli is doing what he needs to do to hold onto the championship - by wracking up moto wins and always being smart. He finished second today, with scores of 1/4, and continuing his points lead, as the series will have it's next event in Matterly Basin, Great Britain.
Honda's Rui Goncalves had his best ride of the season, finishing third in both motos. Former world motocross champion Steve Ramon did not race because of a fall last weekend in the sand of Lommel, and another former world MX champion David Philippaerts did not race because he injured both wrists in a practice fall earlier this week. And two-time AMA regional Supercross Champion Christophe Pourcel, riding a Kawasaki, finished ninth overall today.
MX2 - It's a KTM battle up front at almost every event - German Ken Roczen and Dutchman Jeffrey Herlings. Kenny swept both motos today, extending his series points lead. Jeffrey finished second in both motos. Kawasaki's Tommy Searle, from Great Britain, finished third overall. Tommy will be racing for Great Britain at the upcoming Motocross of Nations in France, on a 450cc machine. And another rider from England, also riding for Kawasaki finished fourth overall today - Max Anstie. Max is getting more and more comfortable on the Kawasaki, and racing the GP circuit, and his results are improving.

MX 1 GP winner in the Czech Republic, Clement Desalle, from Belgium, racing for Suzuki
From Suzuki Racing, quotes from winner Clement Desalle: "My shoulder is getting better and better but this track was really difficult, especially for passing. You had to fight really hard and be a bit aggressive. It was not so cool but you had to show that you were there to make a pass. It wasn't fun out there and if there were more lines then that would have helped. For the Championship ... we can only look to the front and everything can still happen. I had to ride hurt and this is a part of motocross that I don't like! But the team has helped me deal with this situation and I have learned a lot."
Courtesy KTM, here are quotes from winner Ken Roczen and second place Jeffrey Herlings
Ken: It rained in the first race so there was way more grip, it was not so dry and rocky and slick. I got the holeshot and from then on I never looked back and won the race. I had a problem in the second race because all the sweat was running down inside my goggles and I couldn't see too well so it was bad conditions for me for sure and not easy to win the race.
Jeffrey: I'm no big fan of the mud so I struggled a bit in the first moto. I had a good start but I couldn't stay with Ken even if I was able to close in on him at the end of the race. In the second I managed to stay with him throughout moto but in the end I didn't have anything left to beat him. Overall it was a good weekend, much better than last year!
