Round 14 of the FIM World Motocross Series - Germany. KTM's Kenny Roczen has won the 2011 MX2 World Motocross title at 'home'! And KTM's Tony Cairoli has won his fifth world title today - the 2011 MX1 World Motocross Championship! Tony did it in fine style by winning the MX1 Grand Prix overall as well! It's KTM domination!
MX2 notes: Tommy Searle of Great Britain won the MX 2 Grand Prix, with Kenny second overall, but winning the first moto. This is Ken Roczen's first World Motocross Championship, and fittingly, he won it in his home country of Germany. Ken certainly is a popular person and rider worldwide, and has his eyes set on coming to America in 2012. Ken Roczen is the 2011 FIM World Motocross Champion of MX2.
MX1 notes: Tony Cairoli can be considered not only the best 'motocross' racer in the world, but now can be considered one of the best World Motocross talents ever. Tony is fit. Tony is fast. Tony is smart. And you don't win five world Motocross Championships without being great. Tony was the overall winner today, and with that, Tony clinched the 2011 FIM World Motocross title of MX1!
Russian racer Evgeny Bobryshev finished second overall today, and continues to rise on the world scene racing for Honda.
Christophe Pourcel - DNF the first moto with a fall, and won the second moto. Steven Frossard fell in the first moto and was done for the day.

Tony Cairoli won his 43rd career MX GP today, along with winning his fifth World championship. Courtesy of KTM, Tony said afterwards: It has been an amazing season, and in the beginning it was really tough with my knee injury. After that I was always chasing the victories and now one round before the end we made it. I did like the layout of the track here in Gaildorf, and there are lots of nice jumps, but the hard pack is very difficult.
New 250 MX2 World champion Ken Roczen said: It is unbelievable for me. It is my biggest moment ever. I went over to the line and I could barely stand. I was crying, and seriously this is the best feeling I've ever had. I'm really happy with how things are going, and with all the team, so a big thanks to everyone.
Second in the series point standings, and teammate of Ken, Jeffrey Herlings has maintained good composure and attitude all season, especially for such a young age. After-wards Jeffrey said: Hopefully next year will be my year. I think I didn't have such a bad season, but I still had some mistakes and that's what cost me the championship. But at the end of it all I'm really pumped. I'm definitely second in the championships, I have already won four GPs and I've been on the podium 10 or 11 times.
Next week - Italian MX Grand Prix finale from Fermo
