The Trend Report will publish three editions every week there is a major race:

• Pre Race Edition - published on the Friday before the race weekend.
• Heat Race Edition - published after practice/qualifying and before the night heat races.
• Main Event Edition - published minutes before the main events start.

Teams, riders, industry, and fans can receive The Trend Report on the Supercross.com mobile App (available on iTunes), the Supercross.com website (under the Trend Report main navigation link) or via e-mail (if the user is signed up for the Supercross.com newsletter and has selected to receive Trend Report updates).

We recommend that anyone wanting to interact directly with The Trend Report use the mobile app. The mobile app will publish real time data editions and allow fans who are 'logged in' to interact with other fans who are also 'logged in' with comments, fan modifiers and picks.

We have compiled ALL data from the 2011 Supercross season and are using this as the baseline for the first Anaheim 1 Trend Report. As the year plays out - the data will automatically update and display all the new information, based on the criteria we analyze. Five categories in our initial formulas help to create The Trend Report - Trend, Ability, Speed, Endurance, Health and Expert Modifiers.

Trend :: The Trend is the basic ranking system based on the five main categories. This will also include weight for the 2011 finishes, holeshots, lap times, top segments and previous finishes. All data will have different 'weights' based on consistency, practice, heats, mains, top finishes and other inputs.

Speed :: A rider's fastest lap time.

Endurance :: A rider's consistency of laps times over the course of a race.

Health :: A rider's health. All riders will begin with a score of 100 points and will decrease based on mental fatigue, injuries, etc.

Expert Modifier :: All riders will have a plus or minus modifier based on the opinions provided by experts such as Jeremy McGrath and Ricky Johnson. These modifiers can be anything from how a rider looked in practice to the difficulty of the track.
