Wil Hahn might be the newest member on the GEICO Honda team, but he knows his way around a motocross track.
"I'm looking to build on the season I had last year," Hahn said. "I got second in Supercross Lites last year and I feel like I can be a contender for the championship in 2011. I know my bike is ready and I am also ready fitness-wise."
Hahn said that despite the fact it's his first year with GEICO Honda, he knows he'll fit in perfectly.
"I'm very excited to be on this team," Hahn said. "I've known most of these guys forever, there are a few new faces, but other than that it's the same team and they're all great people to be around."
Following his Supercross Lites runner-up in 2010, Hahn missed four races of the outdoor Motocross season thanks to a shoulder injury, but still rallied to finish 10th overall. His best finish in motocross was a fourth at Moto X-338, his second race back from his injury. For 2011, he's setting his sights even higher.
"I'm just looking to win a championship for the team in Supercross," Hahn said. "I can't wait to go out and fly the GEICO colors throughout 2011.
"I'm putting it on myself that I should be winning this year."
Hahn started racing as a pro in 2008 and his 2010 finishes in indoor and outdoor season were career bests.
