Cole Davies Extends Championship Lead with Nashville Win in Wild 250 East Showdown

Davies Delivers Again, Tightens Grip on 250 East Title

Cole Davies continues to separate himself in the 250 East Championship.

In a race filled with chaos, crashes, and constant position changes, Davies stayed composed when it mattered most—charging from a less-than-ideal start to secure yet another victory and extend his championship lead.

“I didn’t get off to a great start, but I made it happen,” Davies said. “The whoops were sketchy tonight… but I was able to make it work.”

Whoops Decide the Race

The Nashville track proved brutal, especially through the whoop section, where the race was ultimately decided.

Davies’ ability to stay consistent through the deteriorating conditions gave him the edge lap after lap, while others struggled to maintain rhythm.

“They were super steep and gnarly,” Davies said. “That was definitely the difference.”

Podium Takes Shape After Mid-Race Chaos

Behind Davies, the race unfolded into a battle of survival.

Nate Thrasher fought through a difficult ride to secure second place, earning his first podium of the season.

“I honestly didn’t ride that well,” Thrasher admitted. “I just did the best I could… I’m pumped to be back on the box, but we’ve got work to do.”

Seth Hammaker delivered one of the grittiest rides of the night, overcoming multiple setbacks—including a major mid-race collision—to finish third and continue his podium streak.

“I just dug deep and tried to ride as hard as I could,” Hammaker said. “It wasn’t perfect, but we salvaged a podium.”

UFO Moment: Bennett & Hammaker Crash Shakes Up Podium

One of the defining moments of the race came when Daxton Bennick and Hammaker collided in a high-speed incident while battling for podium position.

Both riders went down in the exchange, derailing what looked like a guaranteed podium for Bennick.

After running inside the top three, Bennick ultimately dropped back to fifth, a tough result after showing front-running speed.

Breakout Ride for Simonson

Devin Simonson capitalized on the chaos ahead to secure a career-best fourth-place finish.

After battling through traffic and late-race pressure, Simonson held strong in the closing laps to deliver a major result.

“I just tried to follow good lines and give it everything I had,” Simonson said. “This is a big step forward.”

What It Means for the Championship

With another win, Davies continues to stretch his lead in the 250 East standings, solidifying himself as the rider to beat heading into the final rounds.

Meanwhile:

  • Thrasher gains momentum with his first podium of the year
  • Hammaker continues to show consistency
  • Bennick proves he has podium speed despite the setback

If Nashville proved anything, it’s that the 250 East class remains unpredictable—but right now, the championship runs through Cole Davies.
