BREAKING: Nate Thrasher captures his first win of 2026 in Cleveland, leading a Yamaha podium sweep in the 250 East Triple Crown.
CLEVELAND, OH — Nate Thrasher delivered a statement ride Saturday, capturing the 250 East Triple Crown overall at Round 14 of the 2026 Supercross Championship inside Huntington Bank Field.
The victory marks Thrasher’s first win of the season and continues an impressive streak—earning at least one win in every season since 2021.
“I Think We’re Back”
After a challenging start to the year, Thrasher was candid about what the win meant to him.
“It’s awesome… I really felt like I could contend for this championship, and we had a little mishap, but that’s part of it,” Thrasher said on the podium. “We’ve had four seconds in a row, we’re trending… and I think we’re back.”
In the final race, Thrasher showed patience before making his move late.
“I rode a little tight early, just didn’t want to throw it away… but at the end I started charging and closing back up.”
With momentum now on his side, Thrasher added, “Let’s go try to do it again next weekend.”
Yamaha Sweeps the Podium
It was a dominant night for Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha, who swept the podium in Cleveland and continue to showcase unmatched depth in the 250 class.
The win also makes Thrasher the fifth different Yamaha rider to win in 2026, highlighting the strength of the program.
Breakout Performances Behind Him
The night also belonged to the next wave of talent.
Landon Gordon delivered a stunning ride to secure his first career podium in just a handful of professional races.
“If you would have told me last week I’d be on the podium… it’s unbelievable,” Gordon said. “I put so much work into this… I expect it, but it’s still unreal.”
Meanwhile, Daxton Bennick battled through illness to secure a strong finish.
“I just knew I had to execute whether I felt good or not… I rode really well, and we’ll keep building,” Bennick said after the race.
Championship Picture Tightens
Cole Davies rounded out the podium and extended his points lead despite a challenging night, keeping control of the 250 East standings heading into the final rounds.
With only two rounds remaining, the championship battle is heating up—and Thrasher’s win adds a new layer of pressure as the series heads to Philadelphia.
After Cleveland, one thing is clear: momentum has shifted—and the fight is far from over.
