Pierce Brown Injury Update – Broken T5 Vertebrae
What could have been for Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Pierce Brown at the opening round of the 250SX East championship. Debuting for the team this past weekend in Tampa, Brown found himself leading early in the 250SX East main event, with teammate Max Anstie pressuring behind. Brown crashed hard in the whoops, causing the red flag to be waved. After such a promising all-day round, it is gutting to see his day end in that fashion.
Brown posted an update on his Instagram account.
"Damn what a night! I felt great all night leading my heat and main! Halfway through the main I crashed in the whoops. Unfortunately I broke my T5 vertebrae. I had surgery today to get it fixed so that I could get back to racing. I want to thank all my family, friends, fans, and Star racing Yamaha for all the support. I will keep you guys updated on my recovery."
