Michael Mosiman has officially found his home for the 2027 SuperMotocross season.
Quad Lock Honda confirmed on October 22 that the American rider will join its expanding 250-class program, ending his tenure with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing and beginning a new chapter aboard Honda machinery.
Mosiman will contest the 2027 AMA Supercross Championship, Pro Motocross Championship and SuperMotocross postseason as part of a team increasingly focused on becoming a championship contender in the 250 division.
The signing also places Mosiman alongside fellow newcomer Cameron McAdoo, giving Quad Lock Honda two established Supercross race winners heading into the new season.
Mosiman Makes the Move From Yamaha to Honda
Mosiman's move follows his departure from Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing, where he competed for the past three seasons.
The 27-year-old has spent nearly a decade competing professionally, earning a reputation for his speed and ability to challenge at the front of the highly competitive 250 class.
His biggest Supercross breakthrough came in 2022, when he captured the 250SX West Main Event victory in San Diego.
That season also saw Mosiman finish third in the Western Regional Championship, recording five podium finishes.
More recently, his 2026 campaign included podium results at San Diego and Anaheim 2 before injuries interrupted his momentum.
Now, the move to Honda offers an opportunity to rebuild that consistency and pursue another championship challenge.
Quad Lock Honda Builds a Stronger 250 Program
Mosiman isn't the only established name joining the organization.
Cameron McAdoo, a three-time 250SX Main Event winner, previously confirmed his move from Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki to Quad Lock Honda.
New Zealand rider Brodie Connolly is also part of the team's 250 program.
The additions represent a significant commitment to the 250 division for Quad Lock Honda, which has continued building its American racing operation since entering the professional paddock in 2020.
The organization has also strengthened its relationship with American Honda, securing additional support for its racing and development programs.
With multiple race-winning riders and expanded manufacturer involvement, the team is positioning itself to challenge some of the established factory-backed programs during the upcoming season.
Kevin Windham's Involvement Adds Experience
Another important part of the team's 2027 plans is the involvement of former professional racer Kevin Windham.
Windham will contribute to rider development, motorcycle testing and performance, bringing extensive Supercross experience to Quad Lock Honda's growing operation.
Mosiman identified Windham's involvement as an important factor in his decision to join the team.
For a rider looking to return to consistent race-winning form, access to experienced technical and racing personnel could become a valuable part of the transition.
Quad Lock Honda team principal Yarrive Konsky has emphasized that the team's goal is to build a program capable of winning races and competing for championships rather than simply filling the starting gate.
What Does This Mean for the 2027 250SX Championship?
The 2027 season is already bringing significant changes to the 250-class landscape.
Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki has added Nate Thrasher to its five-rider roster, while Red Bull KTM Factory Racing has expanded its lineup with Ryder DiFrancesco and Daxton Bennick.
Quad Lock Honda's addition of Mosiman and McAdoo adds another experienced combination to the field.
Both riders have demonstrated the ability to win Supercross Main Events, although their regional assignments for the 2027 250SX championship have not yet been officially announced.
Their arrival also places increased attention on Quad Lock Honda's motorcycle development and preparation ahead of Anaheim.
A New Opportunity Ahead of Anaheim 1
The 2027 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season opens January 9 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California.
For Mosiman, the move represents an opportunity to return to the front of the field with a new team, additional manufacturer backing and experienced personnel supporting his program.
For Quad Lock Honda, it represents another step toward establishing itself as a serious contender in the American 250 class.
One thing is now official: Michael Mosiman will race for Quad Lock Honda in 2027.
