About Justin Barcia

Justin “Bam Bam” Barcia is an American championship-winning racer competing for Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing in the premier 450 class. Known for explosive starts, aggressive racecraft and a fearless riding style, Barcia has remained one of the most recognizable and entertaining competitors in SuperMotocross for more than a decade.

The New York native turned professional in 2009 and captured consecutive Monster Energy AMA Supercross 250SX Eastern Regional Championships in 2011 and 2012. He added the 2012 Monster Energy Cup title before moving into the premier class, where he earned 2013 Supercross Rookie of the Year honors.

Barcia has also built an extensive outdoor résumé. He finished third in the AMA Pro Motocross 450 championship in both 2013 and 2015, earned four premier-class outdoor overall victories and finished runner-up in the 2012 250MX championship. His international accomplishments include winning the 2019 Paris Supercross and earning the King of Bercy title.

For 2026, Barcia reunited with Troy Lee Designs to help lead Ducati’s first U.S. factory SuperMotocross campaign aboard the Desmo450 MX. After a severe crash interrupted most of his Supercross season, he returned for the final rounds and continued racing during Pro Motocross. His experience, intensity and willingness to develop a brand-new race platform make him an important part of Ducati’s American motocross program.
