About Lux Turner

Few riders in the 250 class have risen as fast as Lux Turner. Just a few years removed from racing the C classes at Loretta Lynn's, the Gardnerville, Nevada native made his professional debut at the RedBud National in 2023, filling in for the injured Josh Varize at AEO Powersports KTM — the team he would call home for his first two full professional seasons.

Turner's stock climbed steadily with AEO. In 2025 he scored a top-ten points finish in the 250SX West series and qualified for all three SMX Playoff events as a wild-card racer, finishing tenth in the playoff standings. He then took his form to Australia, winning the first three SX2 rounds of the Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship and leading the points before a qualifying crash at the AUSX Open in Melbourne fractured his wrist and ended his title run.

Turner joined Toyota Redlands BarX Racing for 2026 — and raced the opening stretch of the Supercross season still dealing with two wrist fractures from the off-season. Rather than stall his progress, he matched his career best with a tenth-place finish in the final 250SX West standings, anchored by a career-best sixth in the main event at Denver, and led laps in a 250SX heat race for the first time at Glendale. When Pro Motocross began, he broke out again with a career-best seventh overall at the Fox Raceway opener.

On August 13, 2026, BarX announced a two-year extension that keeps Turner with the team through 2028 in a full 250 SMX program. Racing runs in the family — his sister Lachlan is a Women's Motocross champion — and with the number 34 for 2027 and long-term security behind him, Turner enters next season as one of the 250 class's clearest rising talents.
