Hunter Lawrence and Cole Davies Crowned 2026 Pro Motocross Champions at Ironman

The 2026 Pro Motocross Championship came down to one final afternoon at Ironman Raceway, and when the dust settled two new champions stood on top of American motocross.
Honda HRC Progressive’s Hunter Lawrence is the 2026 450 Pro Motocross Champion, while Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Cole Davies captured the 250 championship.
Both titles capped dramatic seasons that went all the way to the final round — and now the focus immediately shifts toward the 2026 SuperMotocross World Championship Playoffs.
Hunter Lawrence Wins the 450 Championship by Two Points
Hunter Lawrence entered Ironman with just a one-point advantage over his younger brother, Jett Lawrence, setting up a winner-take-all showdown between the Honda HRC Progressive teammates.
The championship battle became chaotic almost immediately.
Hunter collided with Haiden Deegan during the opening moto and was forced to charge from the back of the field. He recovered all the way to eighth, while Jett finished 11th.
That comeback proved critical.
In the second moto, Hunter knew exactly what he needed to do. Jett finished third while Hunter followed him home in fourth, giving the elder Lawrence brother enough points to secure his first premier-class outdoor championship.

Jett Lawrence — 472 points
The two-point margin completed one of the closest championship battles in recent Pro Motocross history and made Hunter and Jett the first brothers to each win a premier-class AMA Pro Motocross championship.

Jorge Prado Ends the Outdoor Season With a Statement
While the Lawrence brothers fought for the championship, Jorge Prado delivered his strongest performance yet in the United States.
The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider swept both 450 motos with a dominant 1-1 performance to earn his first overall Pro Motocross victory on American soil.
RJ Hampshire finished second overall, while Cooper Webb earned an emotional third-place result in his final full-time Pro Motocross appearance.

Cole Davies Caps a Breakout Season With the 250 Championship
Cole Davies entered Ironman with a 14-point advantage over Levi Kitchen and wasted little time securing the biggest outdoor achievement of his young career.
Kitchen suffered a difficult opening moto and eventually recorded a DNF, while Davies brought his Yamaha home third.
That was enough.
Before Moto 2 even reached the gate, Davies was officially the 2026 250 Pro Motocross Champion.
The achievement came on Davies’ 19th birthday and made the New Zealand star the first New Zealand-born rider to win an AMA Pro Motocross championship.
It also completes an incredible 2026 campaign for Davies after he previously captured the 250SX East Supercross Championship.

Beaumer Takes the Final 250 Overall
With the title decided, Julien Beaumer closed the outdoor season with a strong performance of his own.
The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider went 2-1 to take the Ironman overall ahead of Chance Hymas and Ryder DiFrancesco.
